Mdm. Bethayee Ponnusamy (Great Grandmother of Malene) had come to Singapore with her husband Mr Ponnusamy around early 1900. A very tenacious lady, never looked back and made Singapore her home. To celebrate her life, her descendants have come together with Mdm. Bethayee Ponnusamy Gallery. It was launched on 14th Sep 2019 @ B2, 46/47 Capitol Piazza Art Social.

The gallery will buy some paintings and put them up for sale online.

Profits from sales of painting will go to Red Cross Home @ Bukit Merah and Thye Hua Kwan @ Eunos, both Homes give care to special needs children. This will be and on going project managed by A. Govindasamy & Co.

This concept of enjoying art and giving can be adopted by families, corporations, eating establishment etc, where families can display painting in their homes for enjoyment of family and friends.

Corporation can display paintings in their offices for the enjoyment of employee's associates. Eating establishments can display paintings in their outlets for the enjoyment of customers and staffs. While paintings are put up for sale online, to be managed on their own, profits to which ever charitable organisation they prefer.
